Red Cross, Hurricane Katrina. The Windhorse is short a driver and a van. They've gone on down to New Orleans.

 

Mountain Top Removal "Roadshow". Supports the fight against Mountaintop Removal Mining in Appalachia. I spent a week volunteering with the roadshow and the activist who organizes these educational programs and can assure you he doesn't waste a penny! Dave Cooper gave up his career as an engineer to save those mountains and their culture. He sends electronic updates to all who donate.

Orient Land Trust. Every summer I volunteer as a Bat Tour Guide giving educational tours about the bats summering in the Orient Mine near Valley View Hot Springs. The bat colony is a treasure to the San Louis Valley and donating to the land trust preserves their habitat. www.olt.org.
